EXPERIENCE

Massachusetts Audubon Society
I have always had a passion for education, and through this job, I have been able to share my enthusiasm and knowledge about ecological concepts with young children. By educating the next generation, I seek to create a network of individuals who will continue to share their enthusiasm and appreciation of the natural environment with the generations to come. Through this experience, I have improved my leadership skills, developed skills in science communication, gained experience in working as a team and grown my passion for the natural world.
University of Queensland
In Australia, I was able to conduct research on the effect of ocean acidification on the Great Barrier Reef, and the effect of habitat fragmentation on the koala populations of Southeast Queensland. These research projects allowed me to gain more experience in the science behind ecological research and helped me to understand the interdisciplinary nature of environmental issues. Not only was I able to gain hands-on experience in the field of environmental and climate science, but I was able to find new passions and pursue them, and I was able to experience and succeed in a new culture.
University of Toulouse - Jean Jaurès

In Toulouse, I was able to conduct my own research project on the implications of urban planning on the local environment in France. It was interesting to see the differences between the French and American approach to urban planning as urban areas in the two countries are very differently laid out with respect to suburbs and public transportation.
